What to Expect
The test is safe, radiation-free, and painless, typically taking 20 to 40 minutes. You will lie comfortably on your left side while the ultrasound probe is gently moved across your chest.
How to Prepare
No special preparation is needed—fasting and medication changes are not required. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the chest.
Aftercare
You can resume normal activities immediately afterward. Results are typically reviewed the same day or at your next visit, with a full explanation of the findings.
